with all the sick, twisted, surreal, nightmarish, grotesque, violent, mean-spirited cinema and music i immerse myself in (and pride myself in attempting to create), one of the films i have had trouble viewing a second time is Michel Gondry and Charlie Kaufman's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. every scene feels like a knife in my heart...like beautiful memories that never happened always being held out of reach. Clementine even looks like the first girl i ever loved (especially the scenes where her hair is blue). here's some scenes from the film, with my favorite Death Cab for Cutie song "Tiny Vessels" as the score.
Just needed to share.
